Hi guys!

Exciting news for me a few days ago, having received my very first Daily Deviation! Thanks to PolyMune for featuring it and to all the amazing people who were kind enough to comment.

As some of you may have read, I did this piece for :iconanimationcollege:, the wonderful school where I teach 3D! It's one of a series of four images which are now floating around on billboards and signs advertising our school :)

You can check out the others in the series here, done by my amazing coworkers HunterKi11er, Phrunzoid, thanduraj and Springymajig

Surprised by HunterKi11erHorror by PhrunzoidAnger by Springymajig

And here's the one I worked on with help from HunterKi11er's amazing 2D wizardry on the coral and background!

Here are the two pieces I've submitted recently:

Another Marvelous Month!

Welcome to May. This month we have a few announcements, features and an extension on last month's contest!

During last month, I posted an article about Copyright and Crediting for anyone that's interested. There are some points to consider, and discussion is welcome.

I'd also like to let everyone know about goings on for the next two months.
From June 6 to July 12, I will be visiting relatives in Europe. This means I won't have my computer handy, so I'll be doing less DeviantArt stuff than usual.

I'll still be doing Daily Deviations and answering my notes and emails every few days if you need to get to me. The July gallery bulleting might be a bit late as a result however.

If you live anywhere near Amsterdam though, exciting news!

We are organising a DevMeet in Amsterdam on the 1st of July! So, if you want to meet Cymae, Other members of the Community Relations team, or your fellow European Deviants, come along! I'll be there for the afternoon and would love to meet any of you who can make it!

We've also got a pile of swag to give away, and you all know I'm biased towards my lovely 3Ders :D

Hope to see some of you there!

April's Daily Deviation Roundup

We have some great prizes and would love to see entries from every medium and discipline across 3D art. Check it out!

Monthly Deviant Feature: Promising Artist

Each month in this bulletin, a promising and upcoming artist will be featured. This is an artist who shows a lot of potential and vast improvement is evident through their gallery. You are welcome to note me suggestions for next month's candidate just as you would note me a Daily Deviation suggestion.

This month, our featured deviant is OhSnapItsKevin

OhSnapItsKevin has some excellent sculpts and great concepts. I look forward to seeing more of his work, he's improving with every piece.

Monthly Deviant Feature: Excellence in 3D

Each month in this bulletin, an outstanding 3D artist will be featured. This is an artist who has many high quality works of art in his gallery, and we take the opportunity to look at their work as a whole. Again, you are welcome to note me suggestions for next month's candidate just as you would note me a Daily Deviation suggestion.

This month, our featured deviant is ArthurBlue
Terrain generation and manipulation is a very difficult aspect of 3D, a lot is outside your control and you have to manipulate the conditions as well as possible to get the outcome you want. ArthurBlue does an amazing job at creating stunning imagery and fantastic scenery. Although he himself doesn't consider his work 'art', I think the rest of us might disagree.
